Holla Day Makers Rentals, LLC is a company begun in 1999 by the Cosby and Hammonds families. Later, it was re-organized and currently it is owned and managed exclusively by the Cosby family. It is located in Harvey, Illinois, our services extend throughout the Chicagoland area including: Chicago Heights; Country Club Hills; Crestwood; Harvey; Hazel Crest; Homewood; Markham; Matteson; Oak Forest; Olympia Fields; Orland Hills; Orland Park; South Holland; and Tinley Park. We specialize in providing comfortable furniture and equipment rental packages for outdoor events and celebrations. Services include delivery, set up, and pick up. Our company is fully insured and all of our technicians are bonded. We will work with you to provide all of your outdoor furniture and equipment needs to make your event enjoyable and memorable. The Holla Day Makers Rentals, LLC Event Coordinator will assist you in choosing the most appropriate equipment and furniture rental package to create an “outdoor entertainment space” for comfort and fun.
Our Unique Name
The name of our company, Holla Day Makers, comes from a compliment we received about the manners in which we set up equipment for services to customers. We setup and organize tents, canopies, and screenhouses and create arrangements of furniture, appliances, cameras, tables, chairs etc. based on the needs of our customers. Seeing my different creations, neighbors and other visitors would offer compliments on how good things looked. They would say, “it looks like a resort” and “it makes me feel like I am on vacation”. Then, one day a neighbor from Ghana, in his distinctive accent said, “hey man, when I come out and look at your tents and screenhouses, it makes me feel like we are celebrating a holiday. I will call you holla day maker from this day forward.”
It was after that compliment that we decided to start our business as a “holla day maker” creating beautiful designs for outdoor living and entertainment spaces. We set up, deliver, and pickup all furniture and equipment needed for your event.
Our History
Holla Day Makers Rentals, LLC is a family owned business located in Harvey, Illinois. The company grew out of gatherings with family and friends who came together for outdoor fun including birthday celebrations at the beach and family reunions at the Forest Preserves. A few of the other events that brought us together for outdoor fun included The Taste of Chicago; Grant Park Concerts; and Pay-Per-View Boxing Matches. No matter the occasion, we brought the outdoor furniture and necessary equipment (including the televisions!) to ensure a comfortable and memorable outdoor occasion. Our own events routinely drew 20-30 family members and friends. Invariably, we received hoards of compliments about the uniqueness of our equipment and arrangements. Questions included “are you in the tent rental business?”; “do you have extra equipment for rental?” After two summers of compliments and inquiries, we were convinced there is a market for our unique and distinct service. Thus was borne Holla Day Makers Rentals, LLC.
